THE WORLD AND LORE OF HAPPIA

HAPPIA takes place within a vast science fiction setting known as the Myriad Worlds.

  • The Myriad Worlds refers to the galactic cluster(s) of a vast quantity of worlds.

  • The Myriad Worlds do not refer to the rest of the uncharted universe, whether known or unknown to the public.

  • The people residing within this expanse are typically subject as citizens of "cosmic domains", which can be either as small as a single star system, or as large as multiple galaxies.

  • The "Great Triangle" may be referred to as a famous and popularly known urban, cultural, and trade center, known to us in our language as the Milky Way, Andromeda, and Triangulum galaxies.

The Cataclysms

The Cataclysms are a vague and mysterious ancient historical event of an apocalyptic manner. The measurement of time in the Myriad Worlds surrounds and is based off of this series of events.

  • Not much is known of the Cataclysms in the present day aside from its traumatically apocalyptic and widespread nature.

  • It remains a historical blind spot, and little is recovered of what came before this period.

  • The present setting takes place some millennia after the Cataclysms.

the coalition

The Coalition of Free Stars, more commonly known as simply the Coalition, is the largest union of extragalactic empires of the Myriad Worlds.

  • It currently stands as possessing the largest economy, standing military, and among the most populous amongst the stars.

  • Though highly viewed upon by many as a light of prestige, opportunity, and nobility, beneath it lies bloated bureaucracies and rotting institutions, propping up their decaying existences through ever more wars.

  • Its latest cosmic endeavor lies in the Special Expeditions, a curiously named operation seeking to contain...something.

THE SPECIAL EXPEDITIONS

The Special Expeditions are the Coalition's latest campaign in its quest to secure "peace and stability" amongst the stars of the Myriad Worlds.

  • With the unexpected discovery of a pre-Cataclysm planet, ancient superweapons and cosmic demons are found, the likes of which none other have seen.

  • The operation is organized in order to contain and neutralize the threat, as well as to retrieve and study any "artifacts" of which they may find.

  • Perceived as a prestigious and noble effort, many join the Expeditions in order to build careers, opportunities, or otherwise escape from poverty.

  • Some discourse exists that there is a deeper truth as to what the Coalition is really looking for out here for its own gains and purposes, but this conspiracy sounds too crazy to be true for now.
