HAPPIA

When a hidden planet resurfaces after millennia, its superhuman inhabitants are marked for annihilation by the vast Coalition of Free Stars. Amid the extragalactic struggle for truth, narrative, and survival, a disillusioned Coalition soldier and a fallen superhuman warrior are forced into an uneasy alliance that will redefine what it means to endure.

WHAT IS THE HAPPIA PROJECT?

The HAPPIA project is a multimedia undertaking consisting of multiple phases seeking to establish its story across a variety of mediums. It is intended to be developed in the following successive phases:

PHASE 0 - Outlining the Series Framework

  • This phase entailed fleshing out the outline and framework of the entire series' story, from the beginning to the end. All major plot points and characters were planned here.

  • The series bible is developed.

PHASE 1 - The Written Work

  • This phase entailed writing out the entirety of the story in novel form, intended to provide the "script" for adapting it in future phases.

  • The completed novel structure:

    • Part I: Embarkation (20 chapters, 50k+ words)​

    • Part II: Arrival (20 chapters, 43k+ words)

    • Part III: Homebound (20 chapters, 43k words)

    • Part IV: Singularity (19 chapters, 34k+ words)

    • Appendices & Additional Materials (5k+ words)

  • HAPPIA in its written form can serve as a standalone novel, a duology, and/or a tetralogy.

  • To test readership, it is currently being serialized on Royal Road, where it has maintained consistent views at 35-40 per chapter, and over 1,000 total.t

  • As of October 2025, HAPPIA is a complete 177,000+ word, 4 part epic currently awaiting acceptance from literary agencies with the intention of finding a publisher.

PHASE 2 - The Illustrated Work

  • This phase entails drawing out and adapting HAPPIA's novel form completed from PHASE 1 into an illustrated form, most likely a graphic novel/manga.

  • It is intended to also provide the storyboarding for PHASE 3.

  • The planned manga structure:

    • Part I: Embarkation (4 volumes, 5 chapters per volume)​

    • Part II: Arrival (4 volumes, 5 chapters per volume)

    • Part III: Homebound (4 volumes, 5 chapters per volume)

    • Part IV: Singularity (4 volumes, 5 chapters per volume)

    • Additional Illustrations and Materials

  • PHASE 2 will most likely begin with illustrating a few select chapters before finding collaborators to aid in production.

  • HAPPIA in its illustrated form is likewise intended to find a publisher following online serialization.

  • As of October 2025, PHASE 2 of HAPPIA is in development.

PHASE 3 - The Filmed/Animated Work

  • The final phase entails adapting HAPPIA into feature-length films and/or a prestige TV-series, either of which can be live action and/or animated.

  • Each of the 4 parts can likewise be adapted into a corresponding film/season.

  • As of October 2025, PHASE 3 of HAPPIA is not yet in development.
