E.K. Bao is an Texas-born Vietnamese speculative fiction writer and multimedia artist. His work blends the character-centric introspection of literary fiction with the scope of epic science fiction worldbuilding, approaching storytelling as a total practice across prose, illustration, and cinematic form.

His debut novel HAPPIA explores war, ideology, and identity in an increasingly fractured universe. A serialization of HAPPIA is available on Royal Road, with the edited and formatted version independently published on Amazon.

Outside these pursuits, E.K. is trained in animation and design with a B.A. and possesses additional background in real estate and financial systems.
